A summer in the Alps

By Dan Bradley>

This was started with the Tout a Bloc climbing fest, a fest that was amazing not just for the competitor but for the spectator as well, with so many hunks and honeys and continuous tunes being played over the sound system it was hard not to get in the vibe!
Once the fest was done I was suitably psyched and motivated and headed off to Chamonix to meet up with some friends and have to a go at some slightly bigger things. (And found a Polly Harmer on the way, crazy girl)

Having never tried any Alpine climbing before, a friend who was very kindly letting me stay at there’s (Dave & Tracy Hughes) took me onto the Cosmiques Arête, a small arête but at around 3700mtrs was a good starter to get you used to the height. This was amazing and started what was to be a 2 month period of Alpine, multipitch, Ice and mixed climbing.

Oh… and managed to drag myself up Mont Blanc with a friend (John Raho) via Mont Tacul and Mont Maudit, hard work!
