Head Torches and Camping Lanterns
Hands-free lighting for running, hiking and camping, built for long nights and bad weather.
Head Torches and Camping Lanterns
A reliable head torch lets you keep moving when daylight fades. Whether you’re finishing a trail run after work, navigating a mountain path at dusk, or sorting camp in the rain, our headtorches are designed to give clear, dependable light in real UK conditions.
Built to be lightweight, stable and weather-ready, Alpkit headtorches offer hands-free lighting for running, hiking and camping without unnecessary complexity. From fast-moving night runs to long winter hikes, this is lighting you can trust when it matters.
Rechargeable Headtorches Built for Movement
All our headtorches are designed to work while you move. Low-profile designs reduce bounce when running, while adjustable beams let you switch between focused trail lighting and wider light for close-up tasks. Rechargeable batteries keep things simple, with long runtimes suited to extended nights outdoors.
Choose the Right Head Torch for Your Activity
Running headtorches prioritise low weight, stability and a focused beam to help you see uneven ground without distraction. For trail running and fastpacking, comfort and fit matter as much as brightness.
Hiking headtorches balance brightness and battery life for navigating after sunset or starting before dawn. Waterproof construction and easy-to-use controls make them reliable in cold, wet weather.
Camping headtorches offer wider beams and additional light modes for cooking, pitching and camp tasks, with comfortable fits for longer wear around camp.
Headtorches for UK Weather and Winter Nights
British nights are often cold, wet and unpredictable. That’s why our headtorches are built to cope with rain, mud and gloves-on use. Durable construction and practical design mean they keep working when conditions turn, rather than becoming another thing to worry about.
If you’re unsure which head torch you need, think about how fast you move, how long you’ll be out, and whether you need focused trail lighting or wider light for camp and close-up tasks. The best headtorch is the one that feels invisible once you start moving.
Which head torch should I buy?
Look for a balance of brightness, beam shape and comfort. For moving fast, stability matters more than maximum lumens. For camp use, wider light and easy controls make life simpler. Compare our head torches below so you can choose the best head torch to suit your next adventure.

At Alpkit we take our responsibility seriously and work with our factories to make sure we are not indirectly involved in sourcing from conflict zones. Products that we make that could potentially use materials from conflict zones include headtorches, camping lanterns and bike lights, particularly those that include rechargeable batteries.
We aim to prevent the use of minerals that directly or indirectly benefit armed groups in conflict zones, such as the Democratic Republic of Congo. We take a collaborative approach and work with every supplier to make sure our raw materials are from trusted, conflict-free areas.
Camping lanterns and torches
Our camping lanterns and tent lights illuminate your camp and are designed for backpacking, bikepacking and family camping trips. They're equally handy if you're caught in a power cut or your car breaks down at night. All our camp lights are cleverly designed: they convert into hand torches, they double as bluetooth speakers, they can recharge your other gadgets and some of them are fully waterproof and float - perfect for night time swims.
Bike lights and mountain bike lights
We've got a full range of bike lights whether you're riding on the road or hitting the trails at night. Our front lights top out at 1800 lumens to turn night into day and feature reactive lighting modes and remote controls for ease of us. Our rear bike lights and red LED safety lights keep you safe and visible whatever your two-wheeled adventure.
