Alastair Humphreys
Adventurer, Author, Blogger
Alastair Humphreys is a British Adventurer, Author and Blogger. He spent over 4 years cycling round the world, a journey of 46,000 miles through 60 countries and 5 continents. He also pioneered the concept of 'microadventures', trying to encourage people to get outside, get out of their comfort zone, go somewhere they’ve never been. A microadventure is an adventure that is close to home, cheap, simple, short, and yet very effective.
This adventure began with a map. Or perhaps it began with a bike ride -- I can't remember any more. It doesn't really matter, I suppose, but good ideas do tend to brew when either a map or a bicycle is involved.
An imaginary journey round Scotland, linking together wild bothies and landscapes.
