    • Sonder Bomber [OEM]

Flared drops have found popularity in the cycle-cross and gravel racing communities where control and stability over off-road surfaces is important. For the long distance tourer flared drops give an even greater range of hand positions, allowing you to shuffle around on the bars and reduce fatigue.

    • Sonder Abode Black / 138

    • Sonder Abode [OEM]

High density foam padding over a plastic base provides comfort and longevity. A v-shaped split at the rear of the saddle allows flex as you are riding, increasing shock absorbancy and reducing pressure on the spot between your sit bones.

Scooped up at the back with a slight rise towards the nose the longitudinal profile provides a cupped, craddled seating position, a timeless, proven design for distance on and off the road or climbing in the mountains.

Stainless steel rails give 50 mm of forward and back adjustment to help you find your sweet spot.

All our Sonder bikes come with Abode fitted as standard.

    • Sonder Kura

      +€44,99

    • Sonder Kura [OEM]

Adventure cycling is diverse; in the course of a single trip you can find km's of asphalt, traverse rutted grasslands, weave through thickly forest singletrack, climb loose gravel track or descend steep rocky trails.

It is unlikely you are going to find a single saddle position for all of this terrain. With this in mind Kura has a flat longitudinal profile with a gentle lateral curvature to give an extended saddle area, allowing you to position yourself around the saddle as you move between road, downhill, and climbing.

The honeycomb base reduces weight whilst still providing structure and support that adapts and flexes with your motion.

Titanium rails giving 50 mm of forward and back adjustment to help you find your sweet spot. Titanium is more forgiving than steel so provides a little more comfort.

Slightly wider than our Adobe saddle, it may provide additional comfort for riders with wider sit bones.

    • Sonder Zone 133 / Black

      +€39,99

    • Sonder Zone [OEM]

The Zone is designed for maximum pedalling efficiency and comfort on longer rides, whether on road or off it.

      • Chromoly rails with suspension system
      • Cut-out shape relieves pressure
      • High density foam seat for comfort

We’ve selected a flat saddle profile that’s long enough to allow for lots of micro-adjustments to your riding position over the course of a full day on the bike. The nose width allows you to move forward over the pedals on climbs and sprints, and a tapered back enables you to get behind the saddle easily for switchback descents or technical off-road sections.

We’ve chosen a nylon fibre saddle base to provide a stiff and stable pedalling platform for a low overall weight. This base is connected to the chromoly rails using a patented suspension system that reduces road buzz and improves comfort without compromising on support.

High density foam stays comfortable for longer, adding to the saddle’s supportive platform. And a long central cut-out in the middle of the Zone relieves pressure on the perineum, allowing you to ride for longer.

    • Brooks B17 Saddle Standard / Black

    • Brooks B17 Saddle

Manufactured in the UK, a tough 5mm thick leather top is stretched from a thin metal cantle plate at the rear, over the rails to the nose piece and secured by rivets. This durable leather top eventually wears to the shape of the user’s ‘sit bones’ for a superior riding experience. With the right leather-care a Brooks saddle can easily last a lifetime of riding.

It may seem counterintuitive, but firm and less cushioned saddles are proven to reduce friction while cycling which protects against chafing and rubbing. Should the hammock-like design of the saddle start to sag too much, the leather can be re-tensioned by tightening a bolt in the nose piece.

    • Sonder Seatpost [OEM] /

A seat post that is reliable and offers adjustability to help you find your ultimate riding position.

Membar is all about adjustability. With a twist of your allen key the micro adjustment rail clamp allows the saddle angle to be fine tuned to your ideal position.

Your saddle can be fitted with minimal faff thanks to a quick release action that allows the upper rail clamp to be released without removing the retaining bolt. The lower rail clamp is secured to the seat post which means that it will not fall in the mud when you are trying to fit your saddle.

The Reko are lightweight SPD pedals designed gravel riding and cross-country mountain biking over longer distances.

The Reko's platform-free design reduces the overall weight of the pedals to 145g per pedal for lighter, faster riding. Double-sided SPD bindings are easy to clip in and out of and their compact design means they're less likely to clog with muck on filthy winter rides.

The clip-in design improves the efficiency of your pedal strokes, saving energy on long rides and improving power transfer on climbs, and gives you more control of the back end of the bike.

    • Sonder Slingshot Black

      +€74,99

    • Sonder Slingshot

The wide platform Slingshot pedal is designed to provide the support, control and confidence you need for a variety of riding, whether on trail, gravel or road.

      • Wide 87x90 platform made from 6061 aluminium
      • Double-sided adjustable SPD clips
      • Chromoly axle with sealed bearings

The Slingshot's wide foot platform provides plenty of support to the foot for more comfortable pedalling over long distances, reducing hot-spots. This additional foot support also gives you greater control of the rear end of the bike on tight turns or technical trail.

If you're using the Slingshot for mountain biking, the pedal's wide surface gives you a platform to stand on unclipped, ready to bail out if needed, on heart rate-quickening sketchy sections.

With double-sided SPD clips and a large pedal area, the Slingshot is easy to clip in and out of in a hurry. A clipless system provides greater pedalling efficiency when climbing and more control when descending.

    • Sonder Contact

      +€49,99

    • Sonder Contact

The Contact are lightweight SPD-SL compatible pedals with a large contact area for energy efficient road riding.

The Contacts have a large, stiff platform, improving power transfer for sprints and climbs and supporting your feet for all-day spinning in comfort.

The bigger contact area of the SPD-SL system is more energy efficient too, preserving your legs for those deceptively savage inclines at the end of your ride.

The thermoplastic body and fibre-glass-reinforced binding keep the weight down to 148g per pedal, shaving vital grams from your drive chain.

At a glance

  • SRAM Rival 11-speed groupset
  • Camino Carbon fork
  • Sonder Nova 700c wheelset
  • 6061 aluminium frame

The Camino takes elements from cyclocross, gravel, and adventure race bikes. Its relaxed geometry is designed for long day comfort, with a longer wheelbase, slacker head angle and lengthened headtube for a more natural riding position.

A low bottom bracket and short chainstays make it agile through the corners whilst the slackened head angle inspires confidence when descending. The aluminium frame is tough enough to take a knock or two, so you can lose yourself in the journey and push the technical envelope of your travel or even your commute.

Effortlessly adaptable, the Camino is as proficient on your local trail as it is on the open road, with tyre clearance up to 700c x 50mm or 650b x 2.1" for that added traction and comfort on bumpier terrain.

Responsive and exhilarating even when loaded up with luggage; rack, bottle cage and mudguard mounts give you the option to pack up and pedal off on a self-supported ride whenever the feeling takes you. Triple cage mount on the top of the downtube allows for 2 different mounting positions for the bottle cage for extra bag clearance or to fit a Lug-Kage.

SRAM Rival1
Using tried and tested technology, the lighter SRAM Rival1 groupset offers smooth shifting, a useable range of gears, powerful disc brakes and secure chain retention. X-Sync tooth profile provides a more secure engagement between the chain and chainring, whilst the X-Horizon rear derailleur with Roller Bearing Clutch keeps the chain taught to avoid chain flap over bumpy terrain. Firm, powerful and well-modulated hydraulic disc brakes are reliable across the terrains and conditions. The 1 x 11 gearing, with a whopping 11 – 42t cassette, offers a gear range that is wide enough to cope with any terrain, opening up the alpine passes to mere mortals with enough at the top end to cruise up on the flat.

Gravel geometry

Tuned for long days with trail capabilty at its heart. The long wheelbase and 69° head angle make for a stable and confident ride, even over rough trails. Every size has been tuned for a 50-70mm stem so every rider gets direct and responsive steering.

Lightweight, stiff and responsive. The Camino's full carbon fork gives direct steering and smooth braking. It's completely adventure ready with mudguard and rack mounts.

Full rack, guard and expedition mounts

Take anything anywhere. The Camino has mounts for everything you need - panniers, guards and extra mounts for adding cages to the forks. The downtube has triple cage mounts so you can set your bottle to be at a height for easy reach or lower to accommodate larger frame bags.

Internal Cable Routing

Clean lines and tidy cables thanks to fully guided internal routing. The Camino also has routing for a dropper seatpost.

Bottom bracket for the real world

A BSA threaded bottom bracket is super-durable and readily available, wherever you find yourself. So it’s not a pain in the bottom bracket!

Geometry and Sizing

Sizing

Generally we recommend:
Small: Riders between 5ft 2in and 5ft 7in (157-170cm)
Medium: Riders between 5ft 6in and 5ft 10in (167-177cm)
Large: Riders between 5ft 9in and 6ft 2in (175-187cm)
X-Large: Riders 6ft 2in and over (187cm)

You can also take into consideration the standover height to ensure you pick a bike that will be a good fit. If you measure your inside leg and ensure there is a minimum of an inch from the toptube to your crotch this will give you enough seatpost adjustment to find your optimum saddle height.

Advntr Review the Sonder Camino Al

Sonder have played a blinder with the Camino, producing a fast, fun and comfortable bike with no obvious flaws. Often we test bikes that have a but… , such as a high cost, a press fit BB or feeling weighty but not here. The Camino lives up to the ideal of an Adventure bike, a compromise of road vs trail, but without ever feeling out of its depth.

Camino Al featured in IMB mag

Up front, it was flared drops that really had us surprised, thinking they were just a quirky, beard stroking addition; they are fundamental to the stability of handling in the rough.

Cycling Weekly review Camino Al

If you’ve made it this far, it’s clear that I’ve very much enjoyed my time on the Camino AL. So much so, that I’m seriously considering adding one to my stable, that's how good this bike is.

Cycling Weekly review the Camino

"Available both in aluminium and titanium, there are options for those on a budget as well as those looking for a dream build. Regardless of the chosen material, both frames feature the same design elements that make this an incredibly practical bike.

The cables are external and fully housed, making them well-sealed from any grime degrading shifting quality. They are also a lot easier to work on should you be unfortunate enough to be subject to a mid-ride mechanical.

Downtube bottle bosses, mounting points on the carbon front fork, discrete mounts for mudguards and the ability to take a pannier rack make this bike capable for carrying large loads. Keeping the steering under control and inspiring confidence on technical descents are the slack head angle together with the long wheelbase".

Singletrack review the Sonder Camino Al
With its flexible wheel size options and plenty of tyre clearance, there’s scope for building the Sonder Camino AL however you want it. However, as built, this Rival 1 option seems to me to be a great fit straight out the box. If you can’t fork out for this higher end build kit straight away, the ride quality is such that the frame makes a good candidate for later upgrades, and the handling is simply excellent. Unless your heart is set on steel, titanium, or carbon, I can’t think of a reason why you wouldn’t want this bike. I do want this bike, and I’m genuinely sorry to be sending it back.
Testing The Sonder Camino Al

A great value bike capable of much more both on and off road than the price might suggest.
