Sustainability and Product Care
Care advice
Your jacket is designed to keep you warm and comfortable for long days in the outdoors and the better you look after it, the better it will look after you. So when you're back from your adventures, follow this Alp Advice: machine wash at 30 degrees using a technical wash product or pure soap. DO NOT use fabric conditioners or softeners. For best results cool iron or tumble dry after washing to help renew the DWR. Re-proof with spray on (not wash in) as needed.

How it is made
Recycled Fabric
Solace uses a 100% recycled nylon lining and 70% recycled Primaloft® fill. Using recycled content helps close the circle and prolong the useful life of the raw materials.
PFC-free DWR
Solace uses completely PFC-free DWR. PFCs often leach into the water system during manufacturing, or directly from clothes, where they will then build up through the food chain. As a result, PFCs have been found in glaciers, on the icecaps and even in the stomachs of polar bears. There are multiple different types of PFCs and some are more toxic and harmful than others. However, all PFCs can break down into other substances which are harmful in high quantities.

Reducing our carbon footprint
We are carbon neutral under PAS2060 and offset our Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 operations and transport emissions. We recognise that offsetting is not part of the solution but a point to pass through on a journey to Net Zero. Carbon Neutral is just a step in that journey. We have joined the Science Based Targets Initiative which sets independent targets for us to achieve to do our bit to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Our targets are to halve our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2025 based on 2018 base year and reduce our total carbon intesnity by 15% every year to achieve genuine net zero by 2050.
