Bilbie is a half-length, weatherproof frame bag for long day rides or lightweight bikepacking. Strapping securely within your front triangle, it keeps your weight closer to your centre of gravity so you don't lose any handling. The half-length also gives you space for two full size water bottles. Hardwearing waterproof fabrics and water-resistant YKK AquaGuard® zips protect your kit from all but the heaviest rain. And a front-facing cable port allows you to run dynamo cables in or power pack cables out. Bilbie is built to last in our UK Factory and covered by a 25-year Alpine Bond.

X-Pac® X11 fabric uses a hard-wearing 100% organic cotton face fabric. Organic cotton farming produces significantly less CO₂, uses less water and eliminates the use of harmful pesticides.
X-Pac® X11 fabric is certified by cleenTEC® as being 100% climate neutral. X11 is made from a mixture of plant-based and recycled materials and manufactured in factories using only green energy.
Bilbie has a DWR coating which helps it to repel water and dirt. After your ride, wipe down your bag with a damp cloth to remove dirt or use mild soap on more stubborn muck. Leave to air dry.
We’d like bolt-on mounts for the Pod or Cradle and a web mesh on the Koala whose straps also need tucking in neatly. Otherwise, Alpkit has delivered an excellent set of fast but accurate to fit bikepacking bags using an even tougher selection of premium materials to make them more durable than the predecessors we’ve had no issues with over years of use. Details like the replaceable straps boost longevity too.
Pricing is excellent, considering the bags are all handmade in the UK and come with a 25-year ‘Alpine Bond’ guarantee against defects and reduced-price repair if you accidentally trash them.
