ArcticDream 1400
€699,99
The ArcticDream 1400 is a seriously warm sleeping bag for serious adventures. It's been designed for expeditions to extreme cold environments like the high Himalaya and Polar regions.
- Body-mapped vertical baffles and box-wall construction
- Extra insulated snug hood and shaped shoulder baffles
- PFC-free DWR treated outer and DownTek™ water repellent down
The ArcticDream was made to protect you against all but the harshest and coldest of weather conditions, combining portability (low weight and compact pack-size) with incredible warmth to keep you safe and warm in cold and dry environments.
A classic expedition bag, the tapered anatomical cut helps retain warmth and the shaped shoulder baffle and extra-insulated, snug hood further reduce heat lost. The vertical chest and foot baffles use a box wall construction and are body-mapped to stop the down from migrating round your bag, preventing cold spots. We've also packed the foot box with extra insulation to keep your extremities warm - hold onto those toes!
The lightweight nylon outer has been treated with a PFC-free DWR coating and we've used DownTek™ PFC-free Water Repellent Down (RDS-certified). This protects your down from moisture, ensuring you don't lose any vital insulating loft when you need it most.

Sustainability and Product Care

How It Is Made
PFC-Free DWR
The Artic Dream uses a completely PFC-free DWR treatment on its outer fabric. PFCs are potentially harmful and have been found to build up in the environment. We don't like the sound of that and one of the first outdoor brands in the world to eliminate them from our range.
Ethically Sourced Down
We use only RDS certified down; all our down is audited by a third party to ensure that it comes from birds who are not live-plucked, force-fed, or mistreated. That’s good to know.
Where It Is Made
Our products are made in the best factories in the world. We know the factories personally and they have all signed up to our Code of Ethics in our supply chain. This includes the Ethical Trading Initiative base code, fair pay, safe working environments, no child labour, no modern slavery, no bribery or corruption, no materials from conflict zones and humane farming methods.
All our factories sign up to our Code of Conduct. Find out where we make our product by visiting our Factories of Alpkit factory zone.
Reducing our carbon footprint
We are carbon neutral under PAS2060 and offset our Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 operations and transport emissions. We recognise that offsetting is not part of the solution but a point to pass through on a journey to Net Zero. Carbon Neutral is just a step in that journey.
We have joined the Science Based Targets Initiative which sets independent targets for us to achieve to do our bit to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Our targets are to halve our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2025 based on 2018 base year and reduce our total carbon intesnity by 15% every year to achieve genuine net zero by 2050.
End of life
