Woodsmoke
€89,99
The Woodsmoke is an innovation in mountain shirts. Made from ThermoTech® polyester with hollow core fibres that trap more air to give you more insulation. It has a higher warmth-to-weight ratio, making it an ideal mid layer.
- Blended fabric is wicking and fast-drying
- High warmth-to-weight ratio with thermocore polyester
- Polygiene ® anti-odour to wear more and wash less
The brushed fabric is as comfortable as your favourite cotton shirt, but wicks moisture away from your skin and dries quickly. Along with the snap front closure for easy venting, this makes the Woodsmoke ideal for faster paced days outdoors – whether you’re hiking, biking, or climbing.
Woodsmoke’s brushed flannel fabric moves with you and feels incredibly soft on your skin. The articulated fit gives great freedom of movement across the shoulders, making it ideal for anything from riding until you fall upon camp for the night, to stretching for that elusive hold on your bouldering project. Chest pockets with secure snap closure are ideal for keeping your valuables safe.
The Woodsmoke shirt is treated with Polygiene® Stays Fresh anti-odour technology, so you can wear it all week in the Alpine summertime, then wear it on the plane home without ruffling any feathers!

How It Is Made
Wear more, wash less: it’s every busy adventurer’s dream…
We apply Polygiene™ to garments so that they smell less with wear and need washing less between use: ideal for that multi day getaway (and you’re doing your bit for the environment too).
Polygiene ™ is a silver based treatment that we apply during fabric production. The silver chloride prevents the growth of the bacteria that makes your clothes pong without interfering with the skin’s natural bacteria flora, so it’s comfortable and safe next to your skin. Polygiene ™ is bluesign ® approved (meeting the highest environmental standards) and lasts as long as your clothes do, so you’ll never need to reproof them.
The catch? There isn’t one! You can wear this garment day in, day out, and day back in again without causing a stink – winner!
Where It Is Made
Our products are made in the best factories in the world. We know the factories personally and they have all signed up to our Code of Ethics in our supply chain. This includes the Ethical Trading Initiative base code, fair pay, safe working environments, no child labour, no modern slavery, no bribery or corruption, no materials from conflict zones and humane farming methods.
All our factories sign up to our Code of Conduct. Find out where we make our product by visiting our Factories of Alpkit factory zone.
Reducing our carbon footprint
We are carbon neutral under PAS2060 and offset our Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 operations and transport emissions. We recognise that offsetting is not part of the solution but a point to pass through on a journey to Net Zero. Carbon Neutral is just a step in that journey.
We have joined the Science Based Targets Initiative which sets independent targets for us to achieve to do our bit to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Our targets are to halve our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2025 based on 2018 base year and reduce our total carbon intesnity by 15% every year to achieve genuine net zero by 2050.
