Fast fuel, no faff
No more rooting through panniers or unpacking the kitchen to find your mid-morning peanut butter bar. Stem Cell mounts neatly between your bars and stem to keep fuel, flasks, gloves or camera within easy grabbing distance. The single-hand cinch cord lets you open and close it on the move — even one-handed and fully gloved.
Stays put. Rides smooth.
With webbing ladders for adjustable strap positions and foam reinforcement to keep its shape, Stem Cell stays stable across rough terrain and through full bikepacking loads. It comfortably fits a 750ml water bottle or our MytiMug 650 with the drawcord extended, freeing up your frame bottle cages for other uses.
Weather-resistant and built to last
Constructed with X-Pac® X11 — a rugged, waterproof laminate with a 100% organic cotton outer and recycled polyester X-PLY™ backer — Stem Cell handles rough weather with ease. The 500D Cordura® base is tough, abrasion-resistant and ready for thousands of trail miles. It’s sewn in our UK factory and made to last a lifetime.
Lower impact. Higher miles.
X-Pac® X11 is one of our lowest-impact technical fabrics, cutting virgin plastic and fossil fuel use with its organic cotton and recycled construction. While the outer fabric is waterproof, seams aren’t taped — so we recommend dry bags for electronics or important items when riding into serious weather.

How It Is Made
Organic cotton
X-Pac® X11 fabric uses a hard-wearing 100% organic cotton face fabric. Organic cotton farming produces significantly less CO₂, uses less water and eliminates the use of harmful pesticides.
Climate neutral fabric
X-Pac® X11 fabric is certified by cleenTEC® as being 100% climate neutral. X11 is made from a mixture of plant-based and recycled materials and manufactured in factories using only green energy.
Where It Is Made
Our products are made in the best factories in the world. We know the factories personally and they have all signed up to our Code of Ethics in our supply chain. This includes the Ethical Trading Initiative base code, fair pay, safe working environments, no child labour, no modern slavery, no bribery or corruption, no materials from conflict zones and humane farming methods.
All our factories sign up to our Code of Conduct. Find out where we make our product by visiting our Factories of Alpkit factory zone.
Reducing our carbon footprint
We are carbon neutral under PAS2060 and offset our Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 operations and transport emissions. We recognise that offsetting is not part of the solution but a point to pass through on a journey to Net Zero. Carbon Neutral is just a step in that journey.
We have joined the Science Based Targets Initiative which sets independent targets for us to achieve to do our bit to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Our targets are to halve our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2025 based on 2018 base year and reduce our total carbon intesnity by 15% every year to achieve genuine net zero by 2050.
