Ventile® is the perfect material for changeable conditions, providing better rain protection than a softshell. The tight weave is fully windproof and prevents droplets of passing rain from squeezing through.
In more prolonged rain, the cotton fibres on the outside swell and absorb water. This closes up microscopic gaps in the weave to keep you protected from bad weather for longer.
Ventile® feels completely different to most outdoor shell fabrics. Cotton is naturally breathable, working with your other layers to allow sweat and excess heat to escape.
Put the Ranger on in the morning and leave it on all day, even with changing terrain, temperatures and weather.
The Ranger has been designed to be used, abused, and ultimately re-used. Ventile® is incredibly hardwearing thanks to its dense weave, smooth outer face and the naturally high tear strength of cotton.
Because there’s no membrane, it can be easily repaired with just a needle and thread. Double-stitched overlapping seams provide extra reinforcement for a lifetime of wear.
