In The Frame - the journey has started

8th September and we were down at Holme Fen in Cambridgeshire to see off Joe as he started his journey to Ben Nevis. We caught up with the In The Frame crew as they made final preparations for the long journey from the lowest point in the UK to the highest and they couldn't really have asked for a more perfect day to kick things off. Along with Dom Bush and the support crew they were also joined by Glenda Smith from the External Fixator support group.
Under beautiful clear blue skies Joe settled aboard the bike ably accompanied by his brother and they trundled out onto the roads heading towards Melton Mowbray. A couple of us hopped onto our bikes and joined them for a few miles before leaving them to continue on their way.
It turned out to be a tough first day as they got used to pacing and working together, but day 2 has seemingly gone much smoother. Day 3 will see them heading through Wirksworth, Matlock, Bakewell and up to Hathersage. If you can join them at any point along the way then they would love to have your company, they have a long way to go!

You can check out their proposed route and track their progress, however this may change slightly as they review the route each day. If you wanted to check then get in touch with one of them before hand or look out for updates.
