Explore the joys of climbing and what it can do for you.

Join us at Alpkit Kingston on the 1st of June to discover how climbing changed Kate’s life, and how it could change yours too!

Kate Capelli is a Hiking Guide, Trainee Climbing Instructor and Founder of women’s adventure community Adventuress In the Wild.

When Kate returned to London after years of travel she worried about how she would continue to live an active lifestyle in such a sprawling metropolitan city. All of her lifelong friends were settling into a more sedentary lifestyle and it seemed impossible to make new friends. To overcome this she took it upon herself to attempt to build her own community from scratch, with climbing at the heart of it, and the result changed life as she knew it!

Kate is now determined to help as many people access the world of climbing as possible.

During this talk you will learn:

  • What you need to start climbing (It isn't upper body strength!)
  • Why age doesn't matter
  • Determine which climbing style is for you (Bouldering or rope)
  • How to easily build a community of friends through climbing
  • Where to find the best events
  • What climbing can do for us physically and mentally
  • There will be a summary PDF following the talk for anybody attending who requests it, along with some great discounts on products in store and climbing instructed sessions.
