Floe Trouser
€79,99
Floe Trousers are dedicated mountain bike trousers. Made from a 4-way stretch softshell fabric with a tailored cut, articulated knees with room for knee pads and elasticated ankles for all-day riding performance.
- Double-weave water-resistant softshell keeps off wind and showers
- 4-way stretch and articulated knees for full pedalling comfort
- Room for knee pads and tapered legs to prevent snagging
- Available in multiple leg lengths
The double-weave softshell fabric cuts out the worst of the wind but is still highly breathable so you don’t get too sweaty when you’re pushing hard. It’s also treated with an environmentally friendly PFC-free water repellent to fend off light showers and trail spray.
With a 4-way stretch and articulated legs that bend with you, the Floe Trousers allow you to pedal all day without restriction. The fabric’s double-weave fabric is soft against your skin and helps to wick away sweat to keep you comfortable. We’ve also added zipped thigh vents to help you control your temperature or if you need to cool down quickly after a long climb.
A slim fit reduces flapping in strong winds, but there’s still enough space in the knees to wear your pads underneath. The cut is tapered towards the ankle so you don’t snag the hem in your drivetrain, with a hardwearing semi-elasticated hem and reinforced inner ankle patch. Integrated elastic waist adjustors stop your trousers from slipping down mid-ride.
Rated 9 out of 10 by mbr magazine, they say: "Alpkit's mountain bike trouser is a success, it comes in multiple sizes and leg lengths too, meaning it'll fit skinny long-legged types as well as shorter, chunkier riders. It's nicely styled too. Other brands need to sit up and take note of the Floe Pant and its multiple leg lengths."

Product Care Information
Caring For Your DWR
To maintain your trousers’ water repellent treatment (DWR), we recommend you wash them regularly with a specialist cleaner and re-proof them once or twice a year (depending on usage). Using spray-on reproofer (rather than a wash-in) helps to keep the inside of your trousers wicking effectively.
Washing Instructions
Wash on a gentle cycle at 30˚C or hand wash with lukewarm water – although you may want to hose the worst off first! Use a technical wash product (like Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers Performance Wash) or pure soap. DO NOT use detergent, fabric conditioners or softeners. Rinse thoroughly in clean water and line dry or tumble dry on low heat.
Repairs
We have dedicated Repair Stations in our stores and we're fully equipped to breathe new life into your old kit. This includes spare parts, patches, new zips and wash and reproofing of your down and waterproofs. Pop into any store or contact us online for more info.

Sustainability
How It Is Made
PFC-Free DWRThe Floe Bike Trousers use a completely PFC-free water repellent treatment (DWR) to keep off showers and spray. PFCs are potentially harmful and have been found to build up in the environment. We don't like the sound of that so we've been working hard to get rid of them.
Where It Is Made
Our products are made in the best factories in the world. We know the factories personally and they have all signed up to our Code of Ethics in our supply chain. Reducing our carbon footprint
We are carbon neutral under PAS2060 and offset our Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 operations and transport emissions. We recognise that offsetting is not part of the solution but a point to pass through on a journey to Net Zero. Carbon Neutral is just a step in that journey.
We have joined the Science Based Targets Initiative which sets independent targets for us to achieve to do our bit to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Our targets are to halve our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2025 based on 2018 base year and reduce our total carbon intesnity by 15% every year to achieve genuine net zero by 2050.
