Due to the suspension of several courier services we are unable to offer bike demos at the current time.
Free demo or weekend+ bike hire?
As with any other bike shop, our bikes are available to demo for free. Come along to our stores and you can take a bike to spin round for an hour or so.
Or, go one further and hire a Sonder Bike to put it to its test on your local trails and home roads for a weekend or longer. We'll deliver it to your door and arrange a pick up when you're done. You'll get a full refund of the rental cost should you go on and buy a Sonder bike.
Note with store demo's its best to phone in advance and we'll do our best to get the bike you want from our demo fleet. Please read through the information below and read through the terms.

Home delivery
Your bike is fully prepared by our Sonder Technicians. When you receive it, the only thing you will have to do is remove the packaging, attach the handlebars and the pedals (allen key required) then you are good to roll.
Payment
We will have to put a hold payment on your bank card for the cost of the bike that you demo for the weekend. This is insurance for us that the bike will be returned; it is processed as a "deferred payment" in the SagePay secure payment system.
No money is taken from your account, however, it does lock it in so that you cannot access those funds from when you make the payment to when the bike arrives back with us (usually around a week in total for a weekend demo). Once the bike is returned we cancel the deferred payment which releases the funds for you, with just the demo fee and shipping cost deducted.
You can put the deferred payment on either a credit or debit card.
Returning your Bike
We will arrange for our courier to pick the bike up from you on a pre arranged date - usually the day after your demo has ended. Someone will need to be available to pass the bike over to the courier at the pre-agreed address from 8.00 until 18.00.
Terms and Conditions
We will take a hold payment on your card for the total value of the bike being demoed. Upon return of the bike, the demo cost and shipping cost will be deducted and the rest of the hold payment will be released.
During the rental period defined above, you are responsible for the bike and will be responsible for any loss or damage incurred during that period. Any cost incurred due to loss or damage will be charged at cost price.
The bike must not be left unattended at any time unless securely locked up and remain in your possession for the duration of the agreement.
You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of others, you must wear a helmet while riding the rental bike and ride in a responsible manner, within your ability.
If the bike is returned late, you may be charged a full extra days rental.
Upon return the bike must be clean, in serviceable condition and will be subject to a brief inspection by a qualified mechanic to confirm this.
If you decide to purchase a bike after the rental period, we will deduct the cost of the rental from the price of your new bike.
