Earlier this month Alpkit were pleased to support the 2017 NITro North 10k in Clwyd Forest, North Wales.

A very wet, muddy and challenging course for the runners who braved the dark on the 6thedition of NITro North 10k trail run in the dark. The event was held within the AONB of The Clwyd Forest below Moel Famau, North Wales. A hilly course that challenged the runners from the beginning with a mix of single track and wide fire tracks providing a variety of terrain to test all runners.
A group pulled clear early on and challenged each other throughout the course with Rob Grantham eventually winning the event for the second time with a superb time of 46:51 for the 10k route. First female across the line was Sarah Linton, again back to challenge for the win with a winning time of 1:02:00 in the female category. NITro North also welcomed a group of Canicross runners and this year the winner of the canicross category was Kirstie Fraser with a time of 1:08:19.
