The Signal is for flat out speed.

It pedals like an XC bike, descends like an enduro bike, and captures the rawness of riding a hardtail on fast, flowy singletrack. Stand up, sprint, and ride it hard on the groomed trails at Llandegla and Glentress or take it to big mountains and let loose.

That low BB and long wheelbase gives a planted and stable feel through the corners and when tackling high speed descents. The low stack height leaves you with less of that ‘tall’ 29er feeling – you’ll feel like you’re 'in' the bike, not on the bike.

Big wheels roll faster. The 29" wheels can be paired with 2.2 to 2.6in tyres with clearance for winter conditions.

The Signal Steel rides beautifully – it’s got that distinctive steel feel to take the edge off the biggest hits while keeping stiffness where it counts so you can accelerate out of corners and track accurately through rocks and roots.

Neil's take

I find NX Eagle to be the sweet spot between performance and price. You're getting a lot of the benefits of GX Eagle mixed with some of the value of SX. It's a real Goldilocks groupset.

Then, chuck in the excellent Pike forks, which give you great control over the rough stuff, a dropper seatpost, to help you fly down the trails, and our lightweight, performance Alpha 29" wheels, that spin up quick and roll smoothly, and you've got a build that'll ride beautifully.

Why NX?

SRAM Eagle drivetrains are designed, engineered and manufactured to work as complete drivetrain systems. Its 1x drivetrain is a solution that is built to be lightweight, strong and intuitive, with the gear range to ride on any terrain.

NX Eagle provides the same Eagle performance benefits as the rest of the Eagle family. Slotting in just under the higher priced GX, the main differences are extra weight and the 11-50 range is not as wide as the 10-50 offered with GX, but functionally NX is 12-speed and fully compatible with SRAMs Eagle groupset.
