Guided MTB ride to improve your riding skills and confidence
Join us at Alpkit Keswick on August 21st for an MTB skills ride led by Will Fraser MTB as part of the Keswick School of Adventure weekend.
As part of the Alpkit Keswick SofA weekend we are working with Will Fraser MTB to bring a MTB skills session right from the door of Alpkit Keswick. An off-road skills loop: A fun bike ride on Latrigg introducing a number of key skills that will help you ride with more confidence and control when venturing off the beaten track!
This session is ideal for folks who already ride but want to up their skills whilst riding or just fancy a refresh
Suitable for gravel or mountain bikes. The route starts on cycle paths, where we can practice skills like ready position and braking technique and introduce line choice theories. The off-road climb up Latrigg will allow us to practice climbing technique then we can then finish with the descent off Latrigg where will work on more body position and other downhill skills.
We'll cover:
Ready Position
Braking Technique
Line Choice
Climbing Technique and Candence
Downhill riding including bump absorption and line choice
What to bring
Your bike, helmet and all other safety kit needed to be out riding for a few hours
Warm layers. Even on a hot day
