Beginner friendly intro to map reading and navigation skills
Join us at Alpkit Keswick for an introduction to map reading and navigation skills led by Harriet from Navigation with Harriet, as part of our Keswick School of Adventure Weekend.
As part of the Alpkit Keswick SofA weekend we are working with Navigation with Harriet. They are here to bring you a fun filled couple of hours to introduce you to map reading. You'll learn what the symbols mean, how to read a map and strategies and tips for map reading. Perfect for all abilities and the session will be tailored to the needs of the group. Come with your enthusiasm, questions and sense of humour.
This is a session for families or individuals who already hill walk but want to understand more about map reading. You'll be going for a walk up a hill at a steady pace. Maps and compasses will be provided.
